If you are a natural creative innovator as so many entrepreneurs are, you probably have loads of ideas buzzing around your head constantly.
Yet, so often, all those ideas can cause brain fog which stops you moving forward with momentum. Add any “What if?” fears to the mix and you will quickly get STUCK!
Spinning your wheels and despite being busy, not achieving your desired results…
I had a situation recently where I was reminded that results come from clarity, and clarity comes with focus and the right approach!
I got engaged to my beloved in July! With all the excitement and romance, comes the responsibility of action – which, lets face it, is not as much fun, especially when you aren’t clear on exactly what you desire.
The last time I was engaged, it took me a year to design my ring and to be honest, I was never happy with the result.
I decided this time to maintain momentum and I thought that what I SHOULD do is create a Pinterest board with all of the engagements rings I liked. They were all pretty similar and yet none leaped out to me as THE ONE.
I felt under pressure, confused and resistant.
So I decided to do things differently!
I was about to embark on a month of traveling and decided to set the intention that by the end of the month, I would have made my decision with ease & clarity and I would find my PERFECT ring. This is how it unfolded:
My first trip was to Canada and I started to notice people´s rings (especially on the flights). I soon realized that I wanted a ring that I could wear without concern about what I was doing or where I was – so bulky, raised or too elaborate (and would get caught on things) was out.
When I was in Paris (still surreptitiously looking at everyone´s rings) I decided on white gold.
Then, I met up with some mates in Portugal and one of my friends had a simple and elegant band with diamonds which I loved and I knew that I had found the ageless style that suited me.
On my return home, I was walking through the shopping street in our town with my best friend and saw a poster for a jeweler and stopped dead in my tracks – it was the exact ring that I had mentally designed. The rest, as they say, is history and I am totally in love with my ring.
Even though I have used this simple technique of clarity for manifesting in my business with great success, I was reminded that I could use the same technique for every aspect of my life.
Here are my 5 simple steps to clarity for when you have to make a decision and you have no clue where to start:
Step 1: Set your intention for clarity on whatever you are unsure about and give yourself a deadline.
Step 2: Take the pressure off yourself and instead of doing what you think you SHOULD do in your day to day life, just be aware of what shows up.
Step 3: As you consider the options, ask yourself questions about the outcome you desire and as you land on the little decisions, write them down.
Step 4: Allow the universe to bring the answers to you. You have created a vacuum with your intention and The Universe always responds to a vacuum.
Step 5: Trust the process!
